Group-ON 27years

This is how I remember their years anniversary, my age plus 2.....
Oppppssssssss....... I think i indirectly telling my age.... ~_~

Since so many years, this is de 1st time v actually playing our part as daughters to at least treat them a meal for their anniversary. Through a very smart n discounted way, I go through all those deals websites and found  in GROUPON about the deal of ala-carte buffet from ECOBA, which included from Starter to Dessert, the only thing dat they din offer is drinks, n it actually costed us RM60+ just for the drinks... =.=''''' Luckily my dad backing us up.... ^^

ECOBA is located at PJ Trade Centre which is just right after The Curve Shopping Centre. A very very quite place at night as most are offices there. If you are not familiar there, you wont even bother to walk in, will just take it as a random building right beside the road that you need to make a u-turn at the traffic light if you wanna go back to Subang area.

This interior is quite nice n relaxing, quite a suitable place for friends and family to hangout.... with the condition dat you can tahan the jam at LDP or you go there not at peak hours... >.^ but i think non of us can actually predict the non peak hours in PJ and KL.... #_#

U can see dis signboard right outside de restaurant.

The BAR..... Quite love the creativity...

I think their lamp design is like a 鸟笼....

They even have a pool table in the restaurant... 

Don't know wat this called, and I always hate to play it.... ><

They have both the sofa area for chit-chatting and relaxing, as well as the proper dinning table for a "serious" meal...

Love it....

The menu... But we only ordered drinks from it.... Because they have another special menu for the Groupon deals.

Seriously we had tried like everything in the menu, except for the Caesar Salad and Chocolate Ice-cream.... XD

STARTER

CRASPY CALAMARI SALAD

I LOVED this sooooooooooo much.... not only because I love calamari, but the combination are just tooooo fantastic.... The keropok and the deep fried calamari suppose to be very oily, but it goes with the fresh fresh vege that neutralized it. The topping is mayonnaise with chili powder, make de salad a bit spicy and more more yummyyyyyyy..... I think this should be the star dish for the restaurant.

SOUP

MUSHROOM SOUP

It was not the Campbell mushroom soup that add a little of canned mushroom dat we can easily made it at home, but the wild mushroom soup. will be a bit more rich and sticky if you already used to Campbell mushroom soup, and will just not really like it...

CLAM CHOWDER

Don't know if it was because we come with the groupon voucher or normally it is like dis, you can just hardly found the clam in de soup. is like 1 bowl you can only find 3 to 4 like dat. but still it tasted quite nice if you just craving for the soup but not de clam.... ><

MAIN DISH

BEEF STROGANOFF

Google for what "stroganoff" means, and it suppose to be a Russian dish which sliced beef to go with sour cream. I was surprised when i see the word "sour cream", because I din find any sour taste in it oso. No doubt it was very creamy, but it was very cheesy, not sour. Luckily it come with rice and the fried onion is quite nice. Not recommended for those who cannot take cheesy type of dish.

SPRING CHICKEN

In chinese is "童子鸡". It gave half of the ayam kampung like dat which already deeply grilled with a bit "chao da" and come creamy sauce on it and lots of french fries. The taste was not bad but just the chicken exercised too much... Xp But if you are craving for chicken dish, I think the Chicken Chop nicer.

FISH n CHIP

This really scared us of..... Did you ever be served with 3 pieces of Fish from the fish n chips you ordered???? This is the 1st time for us oso.... Then we come out the conclusion that the chief burnt the 1st piece of it, so he tried to make another 1, but the 2nd piece turn out to be nice from the outside but semi uncooked inside, he then still not giving up to try with the 3rd piece but it ended up burnt again, so he was pissed off and served all the three pieces.... But really... it was the most "not-to-try" from the menu.... =________=

CHICKEN CHOP

The boneless whole chicken leg that nicely grilled with the sweet sweet honey. It was the last main dish that we order for that dinner. So said the "ala carte" buffet is we can order as much as we want, but with the T&C dat we need to finish one 1st before we can order for another. I donno is the kitchen already very "pek-chek" that we order each and every main dish, so he wan to make us to full till death with the french fries or the french fries is going to expired, the french fries is like hell lots more than the large fries we order from McD.

SMOKED SALMON SANDWICH

Can see the raw sliced salmon from the pic, so I actually donno where the "smoked" go... ~__~

For those who love salmon sashimi but you so happened to be in dat restaurant can try for this. and fyi the bread is not cold... ^v^ 

AGAIN~~~~~ lots of fries......................

SMOKED SALMON PASTA

When this was served, we were like "Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........... so where is the salmon????" Despite the salmon was way too tinny slice, the pasta dat cooked with olive oil and pepper is very oishii if you like aglio-olio as well.

DESSERT

CRISPY MANGO

BANANA FRITTERS

Quite disappointed for both the desserts that we tried. Other than the topping sauce not the same, chocolate on crispy mango and strawberry on banana fritters for the vanilla ice-cream, you just cant differentiate which is mango and which is banana, for what you can taste is the crispy thing only.
